Catesby have promoted 9 acres of land at Potton, Bedfordshire for residential development.
A planning application was submitted in June 2016 and the council resolved to grant outline planning consent for up to 90 dwellings in September 2016.
The case officers’ report to planning committee concluded that while the development falls outside the settlement envelope for Potton, it would constitute sustainable development because the harm caused would not significantly and demonstrably outweigh the benefits.
The land was sold to Cala Homes in April 2017.
