The first phase of major infrastructure delivery for 735 new homes on the Myton Green residential development in Warwick is due to commence.

Consent was granted for the site wide infrastructure and public open space works for the land between Myton Road and Europa Way, by Warwick District Council last year.

Catesby Estates plc, working in partnership with the Europa Way Consortium, will have appointed contractor Dawnus on site from w/c 7th May for site mobilisation and hoarding erection, with commencement of the infrastructure works starting from w/c 21st May.

The works are expected to last approximately 56 weeks and will include the delivery of the first section of a tree-lined community spine road, which will eventually link Europa Way with Gallows Hill, along with the creation of an extensive green corridor adjacent to Myton Brook.

Jonathan Babb, Technical Director at Catesby Estates, said: “We are working closely with the Consortium, Warwick District Council and housebuilders to ensure Myton Green is a vibrant, high quality housing development with recreational space for the whole community to enjoy.

“The early installation of infrastructure, will substantially reduce the time needed by housebuilders to bring forward these high quality new homes, and residents will benefit from earlier occupation dates and more established recreational and wildlife areas.  We hope to announce our first two housebuilders in the coming weeks.”

A range of sizes and housing styles will be available with the first new residents taking occupation in 2019. In time, the development will deliver six equipped play areas, a network of new footpaths and cycleways along with the planting of more than 250 specimen trees set in around 20 acres of green open space.
