Toby Railton - Finance Director

Strategic Land Finance Specialist

Toby joined Catesby Estates in 2022 and was promoted to Finance Director in December 2023.

He is responsible for managing all finance functions across the business. This includes procurement, site appraisal, project cash flows and both financial and management accounting, whilst also working closely with the Urban&Civic parent company Finance Team.

A strong foundation in housebuilding and land promotion finance

Before joining Catesby, Toby spent 5 years training as a Chartered Accountant as an Auditor at KPMG, with clients in the land promotion, affordable housing and housebuilding sectors.

He joined Barratt Homes in 2017 as Finance Manager before moving to Catesby as Head of Finance.

Toby holds a BCs (Hons) in Accountancy from the University of Birmingham, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS).

In 2023, Toby became a co-opted Board Member of Trinity Housing Association Ltd (THA), a non-profit Registered Provider of Social Housing. THA provides bespoke accommodation that is designed to meet the needs of vulnerable adults.
